The summer of my 23rd birthday, I started learning a lot more about "the park". Once a month I'd talk to my best friend, Francis, who was working at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel. Every time he called, he'd spend over an hour glowing about the great time he was having there.
The following summer I visited Yellowstone for the first time with Francis and two other friends, Ben and Emmanuel. We met in Albuquerque and drove up to the park for what turned out to be an incredible experience.
Four years later I found myself teaching people how to fly small airplanes back in Massachusetts. Despite the excitement of spending hours each day several thousand feet above the ground, I decided to apply and spend a season working in Yellowstone. One summer working there turned into four summers, a winter season, and a journal filled with stories of amazing experiences I was fortunate to have had (and survived).
I love sharing Yellowstone, and while working in the park I realized that many other people loved to do the same. This website was created to give people a place to share those experiences, as well as their good feelings about Yellowstone National Park. I hope you'll enjoy and respect this website and at the same time Leave Your Trace.
